Adrian Morning Rotary

Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and around the globe. The 1.2 million Rotarians who make up more than 34,000 Rotary clubs in nearly every country in the world share a dedication to the ideal of Service Above Self. Adrian Rotary Clubs joined together to sponsor the Club's transportation for our 2013 summer field trips and Teen Night series during the 2013-14 school year.

Adrian Kiwanis Foundation

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.  The Kiwanis Club of Adrian recently sponsored the purchase of new lanyards for our members.  The lanyards are instrumental in helping our members keep track of their membership cards during a busy day at the Club.

The BGCL has also been awarded a grant by the Adrian Kiwanis Foundation to support Project Learn, our signature academic success program.  Project Learn provides a daily, structured time and place for members to complete their homework. Over 900 members participated in this program in 2012. The support of Adrian Kiwanians is helping the BGCL reach their goal to see every member graduate from high school with a plan for their future.  Thank you, Kiwanis!

Staples Foundation

The BGCL has been awarded a grant by the Staples Foundation, as part of a new philanthropic initiative which allows Staples associates around the world to direct funding to non-profit organizations that are focused on education or job skills.  In 2012, U.S. associates directed more than $1.4 million in Staples Foundation grants to 434 local non-profit organizations.  The new program called 2 Million & Change, will award additional funds to organizations around the world, reaching more than $2 million in grants for the Year.
