Club-Based Mentoring

The Club offers many opportunities and dynamic programs through which informal guidance and mentoring can happen:

1-on-1 Mentors

Meet at the Club with their mentees and participate in activities with other kids or do quieter activities on their own. Mentors meet with youth on a weekly basis during the academic year.

Project Learn Tutors

Provide homework help and tutoring for members during Power Hour, our daily academic support program. This opportunity is ideal for college students, retired teachers, and others with an interest in learning.

Small group mentors

Meet with youth to share a special interest, discuss a career path, or provide support to staff in one of our existing programs. Examples include: Knitting Club, Drama Program, Sport Mini-Clinics, and SMART Girls program volunteers. This commitment generally requires one or two days a week for a fixed period of time
