Volunteer

Give back and get more than you ever imagined!
Your gift of time and talent is a priceless gift. Positive adult role models inspire and enable youth to make good choices. As little as one hour per week is all it takes to make a positive impact on a young child's life.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Lenawee welcomes individuals and groups in the community who want to support our efforts through volunteering. We offer volunteer opportunities in the areas of tutoring, coaching, special events, programming assistance, administrative support, and more.

Examples of Volunteer Opportunities

"I would like to offer a tour of my business or speak to the Teen members about after graduation opportunities."

"I have a skill I would like to share and would like more information about teaching a class or being a guest speaker."

"I would like to sponsor a child for the summer."

"I am interested in hosting a fundraiser to benefit The Boys & Girls Club."

"I am interested in volunteering at The Club working with youth or in the office."

Some other ideas would include:
  • Restaurant/store-bought/pre-packaged and sealed snacks
  • Facilitate a holiday art project
  • Help decorate for the holidays
  • Clean up trash around the playground
  • Host a drive to collect pennies, cans, or an item off the wish list

If you are sincerely interested in inspiring, motivating, and impacting young lives, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lenawee is the place for you.

For more information, please contact Sara Herriman, Director of Community Relations and Development.

Our Board of Directors is dedicated to ensure that EVERY and ANY child that WANTS to attend The Club is ABLE to attend without the burden of a financial barrier.

Our Greatest Need

75% of our program budget is our staff. Our trained staff members make the connection, mentor, lead, and develop these youth to become their best selves. Our greatest need is funding to support our program expenses.

We are so much more than an after school program - we aim to help create youth that are leaders, artists, dancers, scholars - whatever they desire to be. We are here to support them on their way. With your help - we will continue to be here for them - for as long as they need us.
